She said the state can help by supplying them with tax incentives to help grow their businesses. She said she is introducing bills to help create jobs in the private sector. Senator Sue Wilson Beffort said it is important for the state to have a diversified economy and to not rely solely on the gas and oil industry to pay for state government. She said now is not the time to expand state government.
